SURFBOARD WAX

Surfboard wax is primarily made from bees wax and paraffin, and it's about as essential to successful surfing as a surfboard and a good wave. Surfboard wax provides grip and traction for your feet on your surfboard, and it also stops you from sliding off your board while paddling out to the waves. There are different types, so make sure you choose the wax suited to the water temperature you'll be surfing in.

SURFBOARD BAG

If you're planning on travelling with your surfboard then it's important to keep it protected. A surfboard bag offers a convenient way to get around with your board, while keeping it safe and damage-free.

SURFBOARD LEASH & FINS

A surfboard leash is what attaches you to your board. This is super important, especially if you're a beginner, as you will be falling of your board (a lot!). A leash will keep your board close to you so you don't lose or damage it, as well as minimising potential danger to other surfers. 

Surfboard fins are an essential part of your board as they help to make the board go straight, but they are also used for turning. Prior to fins the only way to change direction was by putting your feet into the water!
