Wetsuits

If you're planning to go surfing, bodyboarding or kayaking, then you need a good wetsuit! Wetsuits are like a second skin when you take to the water, so they need to fit well and be the right thickness for the temperature of the water.

SURFING SUIT

Surfing wetsuits come in a range of options, including full suit, short arm, long john and shorty styles. And each is suitable for various water activities and temperatures. If you need a wetsuit for surfing then it will need to keep you warm. Surfing wetsuits are designed to trap and heat a thin layer of water between the suit’s neoprene and your body to help you stay warm in colder waters. They also tend to be heavier than wetsuits for swimming. If you hope to compete in a triathlon, then you will need a much lighter wetsuit to assist with your swimming performance.

Pair your wetsuit with some wetsuit boots to protect your toes on rocky beaches or reefs. Even when the air temperature is high, it's important to be protected from the chill of the ocean with neoprene clothing that can keep you warm. 

KIDS' WETSUIT

When buying an adult or kids' wetsuit, you will need to consider what thickness is most suitable, depending on when and where the wetsuit will be worn. Wetsuits come in a range of different thicknesses to regulate your body heat according to the water's conditions and temperature. A 3 mm shorty wetsuit should be fine for a beach day in the warm summer months, but with the temperatures dropping hugely in winter, you will need a wetsuit of at least 5 mm thick to keep you warm.
