Why create a V2 (version 2) of our iconic MT500 trousers?

The MT500 trousers have been improved. We’ve used your reviews to improve the functional features. Thanks for sharing! The changes made include the following: - switching of left and right pockets for better smartphone carrying - use of more durable COATS thread for assemblies - double stitching on the back of the crotch for added strength.

Hybrid structure

Trousers designed with 2 different components: - a durable fabric (207 g/sqm) on areas that need protection from rubbing (buttocks, bottom of the leg at the front). This fabric is also stretchy, enabling great freedom of movement. It has a water repellent treatment. - a lightweight, breathable fabric (150 g/m2) on the rest of the trousers.

What is the water repellent feature of the component?

These trousers have water-repellent zones(lower leg at the front & seat)that prevent water from getting inside the fabric. Please note, this does not mean WATERPROOF. The water repellent property prevents the trousers from getting wet too fast and slows down the water ingress but will not keep you dry under steady rain. To keep you dry, you need to add a pair of over-trousers(ref 8504646). To restore the water repellent property, put the trousers in the tumble dryer on low heat for 10 min.

Hand pocket opening direction

We have deliberately designed the sealing direction of the hand pockets as downwards. The zip cursor will not get in your way when you tighten your rucksack's waistband and your belongings will remain safe in your pockets!

Fitted cut and use of stretch fabric in the right areas guarantees high comfort levels when moving around. Choose your usual size. Inside leg 80.9 cm in size 40 (M). Hem width: 19.7 cm in size 10 (M).
