Design details

Sophie, our product manager, presents the RW golf jacket:

"If you're playing golf for 4 hours in the rain, you're likely competing. We wanted clothing that would allow you to forget the rain while you play. Rain Weather clothing is intended to provide all golfers with the standards expected by advanced golfers. Everything stems from our designers' work. This jacket is beautiful, sleek, and elegant. It's more than just waterproof protection: it really does allow you to play in the rain. I am extremely proud of it."

Our design team reveals the secrets of a waterproof jacket:

"We designed this jacket in collaboration with Decathlon rain specialists, who were able to provide their expertise." Sophie, product manager. The result is a waterproof jacket with 3-layer fabric and watertight seams and zips that lets the rain roll off so that you can play for 4 hours without getting wet. - Its collar is high at the back and has a protected zip, meaning you won't have problems when you bow your head. - The length of the jacket will allow you to retain perfect freedom of movement. - Naturally sewn sleeves and elastic plus a fastening band at the bottom of the sleeves mean you won't even feel this jacket when in the address position. - The inner fabric won't stick to your clothing, providing more comfort and freedom of movement.

"After research carried out on waterproofing and the needs of golfers, our design team tested our RW line in real conditions: "We conducted usage tests with a dozen experts over a very cold, very rainy weekend in December. Waterproofing and breathability of the material from a technical perspective

The waterproofing the component is measured by the water column test, also known as the Schmerber test. Our material broke the 5,000 mm barrier. The breathability of the component is measured by the resistance to evaporation of a textile, also called the RET. Our material scores below 12, which indicates that it is a highly breathable material, suitable for moderately intense activities.
