The capacity of the fabric to wick away perspiration and dry quickly is measured according to several criteria: the absorbency of the fabric, speed of drying, the fabric's ability to not saturate with sweat, etc. Level 1/5 is suitable for activities of low intensity or a small amount of perspiration. All our fast hiking shorts have a rating of 3/5.
