- What is a cupsole?The cupsole is composed of 3 parts: an outsole, midsole and insole. Cupsoles are not heated, but are stitch bonded to the shoe to make them sturdier than a Vulca sole. This process creates a longer-lasting sole with better cushioning and resistance to wear. The support is also better than on a shoe with a vulcanised sole.
