WEDZE products undergo rigorous tests at our design centre at the foot of Mont-Blanc, before being tested in the field in real conditions.
Waterproofing lab tests
The waterproof rating of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (a test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 5,000 mm can therefore withstand a 5-metre column of water before it starts to leak through.
Field tests in the mountains
Our little testers and their parents put our products to the test in the snow, to ensure they stand up to the real-life conditions you're likely to encounter when sledging.
Store on a hanger and do not fold as this could damage the fabric membrane. Dry thoroughly before storing in a dry and well-ventilated place.
Do not dry clean.
Drying in tumble dryer possible. Low temperature, maximum drum exhaust temperature 60°C.
Do not iron.
Maximum washing temperature 30°C. Normal treatment.
Bleaching excluded.
