What to wear for dressage
If you ride competitively, whether doing show jumping, dressage or another discipline, you need to wear the right competition clothes. Apart from a helmet that meets safety standards, there aren't any specific rules governing clothing at the lower levels of competition, although a number of traditions should be respected.
It's generally recommended that you wear white jodhpurs, a blouse with a stand‐up collar for women, and a black or navy blue show jacket.
For men, you should preferably wear a white tie with a show jacket. We recommend checking with your national federation to find out what the specific clothing rules are in your country.
