WEDZE WOMEN'S DOWNHILL SKI JACKET 580 - RED

We measure a fabric's resistance to a column of water expressed in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with 8000 mm waterproofing therefore resists the pressure exerted by 8000 mm of water.

The 580 jacket was rigorously developed and assembled to prevent water from entering and to feel the wind less, to help you cope with bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.). To check that it is waterproof, this jacket was placed in a special shower reproducing the conditions a skier has to cope with. We approved this product's waterproofness by using it in different weather conditions for several days.

The water repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This jacket is made from water-repellent materials that prolong its resistance to bad weather. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface. However, this property may deteriorate with use.

Did you know that water-repellent properties can be reactivated? To do so, dry the jacket in a tumble dryer on a synthetic cycle for 10 to 15 minutes.
You can also use a waterproof spray (sold in our stores): spray the product evenly over the entire garment, then let it dry for 10-12 hours).

It is a product that lets the moisture produced by your body during exercise escape. To see if a fabric is breathable, we measure its resistance to evaporative heat (RET) in a standardised ISO 11092 test. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. The 580 jacket has an RET of 11. But it is thanks to the hi-tech Wed'ze solutions (zips, ventilation, mesh) that condensation is limited inside the garment and breathability is optimised.

Regular fit. The jacket has straight sides that remain parallel without trying to hug the shape of your bust. The inner volume allows this jacket to be worn with a first and second hi-tech layer.

To keep warm and dry, simply respect the 3-layer rule: Layer 1, or second skin, to keep dry. Layer 2, or insulating layer, to conserve heat. Layer 3, or protective layer, to protect against bad weather.

The snow skirt is a protection system at waist level that closes with press studs at the bottom of the ski jacket. The snow skirt and adjustable sleeve cuffs prevent snow and air from entering while skiing and especially in case of falling.

The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.)
