Component Waterproof Properties

With a waterproof rating of 2000mm, the warm waterproof parka 500 provides excellent protection from the rain.
We measure a fabric's resistance to a water column, in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure withstood by the fabric, the more waterproof it is. A component with a waterproof rating of 2000 mm can withstand the pressure of a 2000 mm column of water (approximately equivalent to 2 hours of rainfall).
