Designed for intermediate freeriders. The Sky 7 HD is easy-going and nimble in soft snow. The ultimate fusion between the low weight of a Touring ski and the performance of a Freeride ski, the SKY 7 is a great option as you develop your freeriding skills.

Product benefits

Buoyancy With a waist width of 98 mm & a big rocker, it has the floatation of a wider ski
Ease of handling Air Tip: the tips are lightened to improve handling.
Stability The "Alloy" carbon fibre improves shock absorption and stability.
Traction With its long rockers, this ski has good edge grip on soft snow.
Versatility The Sky 7 stays comfortable on pistes.

Technical Information

Construction

The Paulownia wood core uses wood that is 30% lighter. The Carbon Alloy Matrix is a high performance fibre material: Given its low weight and mechanical properties, it enhances the performance of the ski. It is an alloy of carbon fibres (providing boost, low weight and energy transmission) and basalt fibres (damping and stabilising properties).

Bindings

Look bindings, NX12 Grip Walk DIN model that can be adjusted from 5 to 12. Adjustable from 265 mm to 377 mm.
With the rail bindings, you can adjust the centring of your boot on the ski in order to have a set-up that is more suited to your way of skiing.
In theory: A more forward position will make the ski react and turn more quickly, whereas a more backward position will make the ski more stable and forgiving.

Sidecut

128/98/118, sidecut radius=16 m in 172 cm

Durability

Reinforced Topsheet.

Preparation

Waxed and sharpened skis, ready to use. Edges sharpened at 89°.

What is a camber?

When placing a ski on the ground, its points of contact are found near the nose and tail, whereas the middle of the ski (under the bindings) is slightly raised (this is the camber). The longer and higher the camber, the greater the edge grip and more responsive the ski. A ski with a lower camber is more forgiving and offers better handling.

What is a rocker?

On a "rocker" ski, the nose, and sometimes the tail, comes off the ground much sooner than with a cambered ski. This moves the points of contact towards the centre of the ski. The surface of the ski in contact with the snow is smaller: they have better handling and more floatation on soft snow. When leaning into turns, the edge length offers more edge grip on hard snow. The longer the rocker, the better the handling of the ski.

Versatility

70% off-piste, 30% beside the pistes, unprepared snow.
