Our design teams developed this backpack in collaboration with trekkers who expressed specific travel needs, of which safety was one. It has a wide lockable zip that sits flush against the back to prevent the risk of pickpocketing, and the hood can be transformed into a detachable saddlebag so you can take your most valuable items with you even if you leave the main bag at camp.
  • Very strong with reinforced seams
  • It's harder for thieves to get to the zip, which sits against your back
  • Rain cover

Abrasion resistance 10-year warranty.
Very robust thanks to its reinforced fabrics and seams.

How should you pack your bag for optimal comfort?

Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavier equipment (tent, camp stove, food) closest to your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet can be placed under the flap; the tent goes under the backpack if it doesn't fit inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. In the pockets, distribute the smaller items that you use during the day (sun cream, map, sunglasses, etc.). If carrying a water bladder, this should be placed in special compartment along the back.

The Easyfit system

This patented system lets you adjust your bag when you're wearing it, using just a single movement, so that it better fits your body shape: for maximum comfort.

How to adjust your backpack?

FIRST, LOOSEN all the straps (shoulder straps, belt, load tension straps). PUT THE BACKPACK ON. PLACE THE BELT AROUND HIPS (it should cover your pelvic bones) and TIGHTEN. Then PULL THE EasyFit TOGGLES; the strap block goes round your shoulders. Finally, ADJUST THE LOAD TENSION STRAPS to suit.

Tests on the efficiency of the Easyfit system carried out by our Research and Development teams

A user-friendly system: Easyfit backpack is 2-3 times quicker to adjust; and number of readjustments = 0 for Easyfit bag. No difference in the quality of adjustment when compared to a back with standard adjustment system: EasyFit was rated significantly more comfortable in the Friedman statistical test (4%); with six times as many backpacks correctly adjusted.

How is backpack volume measured?

The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. We then empty the balls into a graduated container to measure the equivalent volume in litres to within a few ml.
The empty weight displayed corresponds to our standard sample. There may be slight variations.

A score for comparing a product's environmental impact

The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using various indicators. An overall ABCDE rating is given to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.).
Decathlon actively promotes this environmental rating initiative.

All our backpacks are tested in the field by users, representative of our target market, under the same conditions that you would encounter in real life. In particular, our "Mission Tests" bring together the product manager with people who aren't affiliated with QUECHUA to test, improve and validate our This product is co-designed by sales staff from different stores, who are all passionate about trekking.
Test Product We test the bag both in the lab and in the field to ensure its resistance to abrasion, wear, washing, water-resistance and colour-fastness in UV light. The weighted backpack is then placed on a dummy that simulates ageing by replicating thousands of fast walking movements, in order to check the durability of the assembled parts. The components (fabrics, buckles, straps, foam, zips, etc.) are also tested separately so that we can guarantee these bags for 10 years.
