Quechua tents are tested in the laboratory (tent mounted under 200 litres/sqm/hour for 4 hours, the equivalent of a tropical rain storm), as well as in field test missions.
75 denier polyester (PE) flysheet, polyurethane coated (interior) water-repellent treatment (exterior), PE 75D bedroom floor cover.
Seams sealed with thermo-bonded strips.
Bedroom in breathable and water-repellent PE 66D and part-mosquito net, to avoid contact with drops of condensation.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side of the tent to the wind.
To guarantee its wind resistance, the tent must be properly pitched, taut but not excessively so, with all the guy ropes well deployed around the tent. In this way, it will remain habitable with a wind speed measured at 70 km/h near the ground.

Ventilation and condensation reduction

Bedroom with mosquito net sections for ventilation and water-repellent fabric sections to protect from condensation and draughts. Large vent at the front of the tent’s flysheet and ventilation at the bottom.
To limit condensation inside your tent, it must be correctly pitched, the canvas stretched out, but not excessively so. The use of ventilation and good air circulation limits humidity inside your tent.

Warranty & after-sales service

As designers and users who love our natural playground, we care about the durability of our products, which is why all our tents are designed to be repairable.
You will find the spare parts (tent pole repairs, etc.) in the department or at the workshop of your local Decathlon store, on our website or at the following address:

Test Product The waterproofing of Quechua tents is validated, tent mounted, under 200 litres of water/sqm/hr (tropical rain) for 4 hours excluding any water passage through the seams, flaps, openings, zips, etc. The water column test (= mm Schmerbers) measures the impermeability of the fabric. Wind resistance: tents pitched in a wind tunnel on a rotating table to expose each side of the tent to the wind. We also carry out numerous field tests in real conditions.
Guarantee : 2 years. All our tents are repairable. Parts and information in store or on the website
