TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Can I be sure my trousers will protect me well in bad weather? To tackle bad weather (rain, snow, wind, etc.) the Slide 500 Slim trousers were designed using a waterrepellent and windproof material offering excellent thermal insulation.
What's the point of having water-repellent trousers? Water repellent fabric allows water to run off its surface without seeping in. The Slide 500 Slim trousers are made from water-repellent materials to prolong their resistance to bad weather. This is an additional technical solution for staying dry for as long as possible on the ski slopes. You should repeat this treatment regularly using products sold in our stores to maintain these properties.
What is a membrane and what's it for? The trouser membrane consists of a very thin component applied to the inner surface of the outer fabric. This hydrophilic component prevents water from seeping in while wicking away perspiration. The membrane is unbeatable when it comes to staying warm and dry longer
Do you know that you feel colder in the wind? Where the outdoor temperature is 0° with a wind-speed of 20 km, it feels like -10°. "Windproof" components reduce this cooling effect by stopping the air flow owing to the wind and owing to the relative speed of the sports activity.
How should I dress to avoid having cold legs on the slopes? To keep the bottom of your body warm and dry, we recommend using the 2-layer rule. The principle is simple: Use 2 layers of fabric, each having a particular function. Your skiing base-layer and your liner jacket must produce and retain warmth. Your ski jacket will protect you from the weather conditions. All these layers should be breathable in order to evacuate humidity.
Washing instructions To optimise the performance and durability of your trousers, we recommend you: Machine wash separately at 30°C. Synthetic cycle. Turn inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No softener. Wring out manually. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can re-waterproof the outer fabric using an aerosol waterproofing spray for fabric. Read the care label
