TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Temperature rating in the SLEEPING BAG configuration:

All our sleeping bags display the temperature ratings, tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX), in accordance with European NF ISO 23537 standard (2016).
The temperature rating is the lower limit at which the user, in a relaxed posture, is generally in thermal equilibrium and does not feel cold.
Choose your sleeping bag accordingly.

What are the temperature ratings in the SLEEPING BAG configuration?

Limit temperature: temperature limit at which the user, in a foetal position, is generally in thermal equilibrium and does not feel cold.

However, what you need to know about the temperatures in the SLEEPING BAG configuration:

A sleeping bag does not produce heat but retains the heat produced by the body. If you are tired and cold and you slip inside a cold, damp sleeping bag, it is very likely that you will feel cold no matter how good your sleeping bag is! These temperatures therefore depend on the person's resistance to cold (body shape, fatigue, etc.), equipment (mattress with insulation, etc.), clothing (naked, underwear, etc.) and weather conditions (humidity, wind, etc.).

Shape:

Mummy-shaped elephant foot, tightened at the feet, height (20cm in size L).
*ventilated footbox = ergonomic volume for the feet to be able to move freely without any heat loss with these 2 compartments, one of which has a zip for managing the level of thermal insulation.
Long jacket for comfortable use at the bivouac (you can sit on the bottom part of the jacket), reinforced fabric.
Cuffs for the hands. Ergonomic hood with a drawcord. Night mask.

For greater comfort, before getting into your SLEEPING SUIT:

Dress simply (1 layer of clothing is enough). Keep your head, hands and feet warm: hats, gloves, socks, hand/feet warmers, rubdowns etc. A flask of hot water can be used as a hot water bottle (if there's no chance of it accidentally opening!) Contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is converted into heat) but do so without creating a draught. Use a sleeping bag liner, ideally made of silk, to maximise the warmth inside the elephant foot of your Sleeping Suit.

Weight and size:

Size S 1040 g, height: up to 1.60 m. Folded dimensions: Ø 15 x 42 cm. Vol. 7.4L. 539 g of feathers.
Size M 1070 g, height: up to 1.70 m. Size (folded): Ø 16 x 42 cm. Vol. 8.4L. 558 g of feathers.
Size L 1130 g, height: 1.70 to 1.85 m. Size (folded): Ø 17 x 42 cm. Vol. 9.5L. 598 g of feathers.
Size XL 1250 g, height: 1.85 to 2 m. Size (folded): Ø 18 x 42 cm. Vol. 10.7L. 683 g of feathers.
Try out your bag before buying it to make sure you choose the right size for maximum comfort.

Origin of feathers:

Our traceability system means we can guarantee the origin of the feathers, in accordance with our commitment to use responsibly sourced materials. Our suppliers are committed to using only feathers that come from ducks that are bred for their meat and which are plucked after slaughtering. The feathers and down used for your sleeping bag come from ducks reared in China.

Filling:

The down's long-lasting fill power gives it 3 important qualities for a Sleeping Suit:
- Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers
- Ultra-lightweight: to provide equal warmth, feathers are lighter than synthetic wadding. This saves even more weight in your backpack.
- Ultra compressibility
90% duck down, 10% feathers.
The fill power is guaranteed at 800 CUIN (IDFB standard).
We have chosen X-shaped compartments to guarantee thermal comfort at 10°.

Care and washing instructions:

Feathers require particular care. Follow the care advice.
The Sleeping Suit jacket will be worn more frequently than the elephant foot and will certainly need to be washed more often. Follow the instructions by clicking the link below:

Washing instructions

Turn inside out and machine wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle with 3 or 4 laundry balls (or clean, used tennis balls). Use a special detergent for feathers and down.
Rinse several times.
Spin dry on a very slow delicate cycle.
Tumble dry on a gentle programme and on low heat.
Finish off by air drying, ideally in the sun, on both sides to prevent the down from clumping together.
Dry your sleeping bag thoroughly before storing.

Warranty:

This sleeping bag is guaranteed for 5 years from the date shown on the sales receipt. The product covered by the warranty will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers product defects, excluding those resulting from normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 5-year warranty is only valid on presentation of the product and receipt.

Test Product The Sleeping Suit jacket is laboratory tested in 5 km/h winds and worn as a 3rd layer on a thermal mannequin (over a long sleeved T-shirt and fleece). Its level of thermal insulation is measured on a scale of 1 to 5, so that you can make the choice that best suits your use. Warmth of the Sleeping Suit jacket: 5 out of 5.
