TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Temperature of use

On all of our sleeping bags, we display the temperature ratings tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) according to European standard EN 13537 of 11/04/2002. The temperature rating is the lower limit at which the user is generally in thermal equilibrium and feels neither too cold nor too hot in a relaxed pose (for a standard woman and in normal conditions of use).
Choose your sleeping bag accordingly.

What is the comfort limit temperature?

The temperature rating is the lower limit at which the curled-up user is generally in thermal equilibrium in their sleeping bag and feels neither too cold nor too hot in a relaxed pose (for a standard man and in normal conditions of use).

However, what you need to know about temperatures

A sleeping bag does not produce heat but retains the heat produced by the body. If you are tired and cold and you slip inside a cold, damp sleeping bag, it is very likely that you will feel cold no matter how good your sleeping bag is! These temperatures therefore depend on the person's resistance to cold (bulk, fatigue, etc.), equipment (mattress with insulation, etc.), clothing (naked, underwear, etc.) and weather conditions (humidity, wind, etc.).

Tips before getting into your bag

Dress simply (just one layer of clothing is enough). Warm your extremities: hats, gloves, socks, heaters, friction... A flask of hot water can be used as a hot water bottle (if there is no risk of unintended opening!). Contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is converted into heat) but without making any movement generating a cold airstream.
To wash your sleeping bag less often, we recommend you use a sleeping bag liner.

Composition

Inner and outer fabric: 100% polyester | Wadding: 100% 200g/m² polyester padding.

Eco-design

We have chosen a two-tone “dope-dyed” interior fabric and “dope-dyed” yarns to reduce the environment impact of this product. The yarns are mass-dyed during production, which avoids dye baths. One of the woven yearns is mass-dyed the other is not. Below, the results compared to ordinary interior fabric:
-65.8 % fine particle emissions (PM2.5)
-65.6 % eutrophisation of fresh water
-76/7 % eutrophisation of water

A score for comparing products' environmental impact

The environmental impacts of our products are calculated over their entire life cycle and with different indicators. An ABCDE score is provided to help you easily identify the most environmentally friendly products when comparing the same type of product (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to displaying the environmental data of its products. For more information:
