Our designers created this product for intermediate freeride skiers who do not stick to the slopes that are accessible by the ski lifts. If Freeride cross-country appeals to you, this boot is for short climbs (500m elevation gain) so that you can complete a nice descent without compromising on ski handling.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Fit

Fine foot (last 100mm), light liner: Light and comfortable liner without thermoforming. Preformed foam on the malleolus. Liners are designed to optimise ski sensations and optimise the weight and freedom of movement when descending.
Heat-moulding liner for superior comfort.
Shock Absorber Area system in the tail for cushioning the shocks on bumps or jumps.

What is the flex?

To provide an indication of rigidity, brands assign a flex rating to every boot. This figure determines the rigidity of the whole boot: the higher its value, the stiffer the shell. It is generally considered that a flex of 70 is for average to intermediate level skiers. A flex from 70 to 90 is for intermediate skiers. Beyond this value, the products are aimed at advanced skiers. Well-built skiers can go up one level.

How do you try on ski boots?

Once your foot is in the boot, fasten the buckles to the midpoint. Can you go further? This means the volume of the boot isn't right for you. Once you've fastened your boots, you need to flex 3 times while pushing your calves forward (put your hands on your knees), which will push your heel back into the boot. Stand up: your foot should touch the end of the shell. When you flex, your foot should move backwards so you can no longer feel the end.

How to get your ski boots on easily

Pull the tongue forwards and towards the outside of the feet: this allows you to fully open up the shell and facilitates foot entry.

Suitable for freestyle

When you fit the Alpine standard soles (sold with the boots), these boots can also be used for Freestyle skiing.

How to make a ski boot more comfortable

There are many options for making your foot more comfortable in a ski boot. A ski boot must be tight fitting. To improve the support, you can get soles that are tailored to the shape of your foot arch, volume reducers and heel boosters.

How to avoid cold feet

Although it is often forgotten, drying the liner is the most effective way to avoid having cold feet. Even at -10°C, the foot sweats and the liner cannot dry by itself in its plastic shell, even over several days. Ideally, it should be removed every day. There is the option to use boot dryers that are more convenient because there is no need to remove the liner, you just plug them in!
