Aquafitness is a faster-paced version of aqua aerobics. If you practise it regularly it offers a whole host of benefits for the body. Simply being in contact with water can help you relax and feel good about yourself. The advantage of this practice is that it carries no risk of injury and causes very little muscle stiffness. It allows both gentle muscular toning as we work the entire body and cardiovascular training.

YOUR ACTIVITIES: AQUABOXING

Aquaboxing is the water-based version of combat sports. It takes its inspiration from martial arts. During this activity, you are in the water up to your shoulders.
An aquaboxing session is composed of boxing moves: punching and kicking in the water.

YOUR ACTIVITIES: AQUARUNNING

Aquajogging is the water-based sport where you can run in the water and reduce the risk of joint trauma, thanks to the benefits of the water.
You can use aquafitness equipment, such as a buoyancy belt (in deep water) or an underwater treadmill (in shallow water).
The belt helps you stay on the surface of the water, making it easier to concentrate on your stride and heel-to-toe transition with peace of mind.

Why work on toning your muscles

Muscle toning helps to rebalance your figure and firm up all parts of your body (stomach, buttocks, arms, chest). Targeted toning exercises will encourage your body to get back into shape while getting in the habit of moving around.
