QUECHUA products undergo rigorous tests at our design centre at the foot of Mont-Blanc, before being tested in the field in real conditions.
Grip lab tests
The grip of our soles is certified. To be awarded certification, the shoes must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip rate on different surfaces, such as smooth, rugged, dry, and wet ground.
Further lab testing
Additional laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: attachment of eyelets and webbing, assembly, toxicology, UV resistance, sole and upper component abrasion, accelerated ageing. Nothing goes untested to be sure you're getting the very best quality products.
Field tests in the mountains
Our teams, along with a panel of testers (made up of partners, ambassadors and customers) put our shoes through their paces in the mountains, to ensure they stand up to the conditions you’ll encounter during your hikes. We assess the quality of our soles, over 500 km to guarantee good grip and resistance to wear.
All our products are tested throughout their development until they go to market.
