Waterproof test
We test the waterproofing using the JIS 1092 standard, which is based on the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric, and is measured in Schmerbers. This product has a waterproof coating that offers protection of 15,000 Schmerbers.
Breathability test
We test the breathability of all our jackets. It’s measured by thermal evaporative resistance (RET) which is the capacity to allow water vapour to escape. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. An RET of less than 6 = very breathable, less than 12 = breathable, less than 20 = little breathability. This product has an 8 RET rating.
