- How to prepare your freeze-dried couscous with vegetables mealOpen the sachet and turn back the two ends so they touch each other. Then fill with hot water to level 4 (370 ml). Mix with your cutlery, close the zip and wait 9 minutes before reopening the sachet. Mix again and taste your meal. To eat it cold, wait 20 to 30 minutes. The amount of water can be adjusted depending on your preference. You're a chef! Recipe and volume suitable for workouts in the great outdoors.
- What is the difference between freeze-drying and dehydrating food?These two preservation techniques extract the water from the foodstuff through a cold or hot drying process. Freeze-drying removes the water contained in the food by transforming it from a solid state (frozen food) to a gaseous state. This method enables you to maintain the meal’s nutritional value as well as the taste, smell and colour of the food. Dehydration dries the food at high temperature. The water contained in the food evaporates.
