The saddle pad is worked by superimposing two layers of material on either side of the back line: 1 foam: 2 cm 1 layer of wadding

If so, it won't alter the saddle's balance. The girth setting will change by one or two holes, and may require changing the girth. You should always check the girth straps once mounted.
