Design details
A word from the product manager
This 4 hook-boot offers a level of precision and transmission to enable your child to progress to the next level. To ensure progression, the boot is often more important than the ski, because it is through the boot that the ski is controlled. Their natural angle helps your child to find the right pressure on the tongue of the boot for precise control of the skis.
Opening/closing mechanism
With its 4 buckles, this children's boot is both precise and easy to adjust. 4 positions on the instep and 6 positions on the shin.
What is flex?
To provide an indication of rigidity, brands assign a flex rating to every boot. This figure indicates the rigidity of the whole boot: the higher the figure, the stiffer the shell. A flex of 50 is considered ideal for helping children to improve.
What’s your child’s shoe size?
The size of ski boots is stated in Mondopoint size. It’s actually the length of the foot in cm.
Wedge your heels along a wall, slide a sheet of paper underneath, flex and measure the longest foot.
For example, if your foot measures 27.2 cm, you should choose size 27/27.5.
A size 27 shoe is exactly the same as a 27.5
How to try on ski boots?
Once the foot is in the boot, fasten the buckles to the midpoint. If your kid can go further, this means that the boot size is not right for them. Once the boot is fastened, they must bend the leg 3 times by pressing hard on the shins, to roll the heel back into the boot. Standing upright, they should be able to brush the front of the shell. When you flex, your foot should move backwards so you can no longer feel the end.
Tip for putting boots on.
To put boots on more easily, pull the tongue towards the exterior (not straight in front of you), so you open the shells as much as possible which makes putting your foot in easier.
