Given the fit and that it is not lined, we recommend wearing over warm leggings.
- What's the point of having water-repellent trousers?The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to allow water to run off its surface without seeping in. The SLIM 580 trousers are equipped with water-repellent components that prolong their resistance to bad weather. This high-tech solution will keep you dry for longer on the ski slopes. For it to remain effective, you must repeat this treatment regularly using the products sold in our stores.
- "Coated" trousers: what are the advantages of this coating?The coating is a waterproofing material spread over the inner surface of a fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows the water vapour produced by the body's physical activity to escape. So you stay dry for greater comfort while practising your sport.
- What does the "membrane" do for my trousers?The trouser membrane consists of a very thin component applied to the inner surface of the outer fabric. This hydrophilic component prevents water from seeping in while wicking away perspiration. The membrane is unbeatable when it comes to staying warm and dry longer.
- What are "breathable" trousers?It is a product that lets the water vapour produced by the body during exercise escape, keeping you dry. To test the breathability of a fabric, we measure its resistance to evaporative heat, called RET, with a standardised ISO 11092 test. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. Wed'ze uses high-tech materials and solutions (zips, ventilation, mesh) that help prevent condensation inside the garment. SLIM 580 trousers RET < 12.
- How should I dress to avoid having cold legs on the slopes?To keep your legs warm and dry: wear 2 breathable layers, e.g. a ski base layer or a pair of ski tights to retain warmth, and ski trousers to protect you from the weather conditions.
- How can I prevent snow from getting into my trousers?The trousers have elasticated gaiters at the ankles to cover the boots. If you fall or come into contact with fresh snow, the seal created by the gaiter keeps the snow out.
- How can I be sure my trousers are strong enough?We know how much energy is expended during a day's skiing or snowboarding. That’s why we take particular care in choosing all the elements that make up our products to guarantee the best possible protection.
- What is the right way to wash your skiing clothing?To optimise the performance and durability of your trousers, we recommend: machine wash at 30°C. Synthetic cycle. Turn the product inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No softener. Wring out by hand. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can re-waterproof the outer fabric using an aerosol waterproofing spray for fabric. Read the care instructions carefully.
