Every bike in the NCR range is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes to guarantee progressive braking in all weather conditions.
- An all-round bikeThis bike is the perfect partner for getting into competitions from a young age (size XXS) or for taking part in your first triathlons. It has a big clearance that lets you mount tyres measuring up to 35 mm so you can explore the trails near your home.
- A closer look at the frame100% carbon frame and fork. The carbon makes the bike lighter, more rigid and more energetic. We've also chosen to have a carbon fork for more direct, precise control. The NCR CF's painted frame weighs 1200 g in size M and the fork weighs 413 g. Frame clearance: there's enough clearance to mount up to 35 mm tyres. Important: with 38 mm tyres, there's a great risk of damaging the paintwork.
- CockpitThe NCR CF's cockpit is made entirely from aluminium, with a Van Rysel oversize stem and handlebar. The stem size depends on the frame size: XXS: 60 mm XS: 70 mm S : 80 mm M: 90 mm Handlebar width (edge-edge): XXS, XS: 380 mm S, M: 400 mm
- SHIMANO DRIVE TRAINThe NCR CF Tiagra comes with the full Shimano Tiagra (4700) groupset. The total weight of the groupset with disc brakes is 3350 g. This groupset gives you precise, reliable gear changes. It also comes with hydraulic disc brakes. The handles are thin and compact, with the ergonomics optimised so that you can easily reach the levers. (R4720 shifters) It comes with all of Shimano's latest-generation groupset technology.
- GearingThis bike comes with a Shimano Tiagra (FC 4700) 48/34 double chainring. The 48T ring gives you a higher cadence and lets you stay in the middle of the cassette for longer. 10-speed cassette (CS-HG500-10) with the following increments: 11-12-14-16-18-20-22-25-28-32 If you want to change the cassette, the derailleur can take up to 34t. (RD 4700 GS) Chain: KMC TW X10 Crank length according to size: XXS / XS: 165 mm S: 170 mm M: 172.5 mm L/XL: 175 mm
- Drive train maintenancePlease note that it is important to regularly service your drive train, especially if you ride in difficult conditions (wet and/or dirty roads). Regular maintenance will help your drive train to last for longer. You should regularly check your chain with our chain wear indicator, which is available on our website.
- Lifespan of a drive trainWhen buying a bike, it's important to take into account the cost of servicing it, especially as regards the drive train. The amounts below are averages and are given so that you have a general idea of what to expect. They will of course vary depending on the care you take of your drive train. The average lifespan of a well-maintained chain is 5000 km. The average lifespan of a cassette is 10,000-12,000 km. A poorly maintained chain can jump, which can damage your bike's frame.
- Disc brakesShimano Tiagra disc brakes with 160 mm rotors at the front and back. The Shimano Tiagra brakes are hydraulic. This gives you progressive, more powerful braking than with cable-actuated brakes. You will need to bed these brakes in. Simply brake gradually 20 times at a low speed (20 km/h), then repeat at 30 km/h. Make sure to bed in both brakes. Bedding in creates more friction between the disc and brake pad.
- Hydraulic brake maintenanceHydraulic brakes function using a closed circuit between your brake lever and your caliper. There is a hose to maintain the seal. With time, you'll see a normal loss of pressure in your hoses, leading to a loss of braking efficiency. When your brake guard is too soft, or you stop short against your handlebar, you need to bleed your system. This requires specific tools and knowledge.
- Warning and adjustmentPLEASE NOTE:never squeeze the brakes without a wheel being attached, as you could get the brake pads stuck together. If the rotor is touching the pads, here's how to realign the wheel and caliper: - Loosen the wheel axle - Brake hard and tighten the axle at the same time - If the rotor is still touching the brakes, do the same thing and loosen the caliper - If you're unable to resolve the issue, please visit one of our workshops.

Of course, you should always carry an inner tube in your repair kit, just in case your tyre gets a slightly bigger puncture.
