WHY IS THIS THE RIGHT AERIAL HOOP FOR ME?
2-Point Aerial Hoops allow you to use the top of the bar differently and open up moves that you can only do with a 2-point hoop.
If you have the height, you can rig your hoop with long strops like a long isosceles triangle. This opens up more moves as you can use the space between the ropes, like to a dance trapeze.
We make our Aerial Hoops in the UK to exceptionally high safety standards.
Our Hoops come with a grippy matt powder coating that is durable and looks great. However, the bare powder coating can take a while to warm up (like a pole dancing pole), so many people tape their hoop.
WHICH SIZE DO I NEED?
There are two main methods to calculate what size hoop you need:
1) Sit on a chair with good posture. Measure from the seat of the chair to the top of your head and add 10cm.
2) Stand up straight with your feet together and flat on the floor. Bend at your hips until your torso is 90 degrees to your legs. Measure from the floor to your lower back and add 5cm.
Please note, these methods give the outside diameter measurement, which is how we size our hoops. If you prefer to work with the inside diameter add 5cm instead of 10cm to method 1) and don't add 5cm if using method 2).
You might also want to consider going up a size if you intend to use this hoop for doubles.
HOW DO I RIG THIS AERIAL HOOP?
You can choke a Polyester Strop (Round Sling, Span Set) or Prodigy Aerial PolySafe Rope at each of the tabs. Attaching soft rigging directly to the hoop is good for reducing metal on metal wear and removes the possibility of coming into contact with hardware when working on the top bar.
You can attach a Polyester Strop, Aerial PolySafe Rope, or a Prodigy Dyna-Core Hanging rope to each tab with a carabiner.
Carabiners we recommend using are Prodigy SG21 Screw Gate Carabiners, Prodigy AL21 Double-Action Carabiners, or Prodigy AL22 Triple-Action Carabiners.
You could use Prodigy Aerial Slings - 18mm in some circumstances, but we don't recommend this for long-term rigging. You could use these in a performance if you need rigging which is less visible to the audience.
If you do not want the Aerial Hoop to spin, you need to connect each strop/rope vertically to an anchor point with a carabiner. We recommend this when you want to keep a hoop rigged and assured of facing the audience.
To spin, you need to make a triangle (or vee) with your ropes/strops above the hoop. In rigging terms, we call this a bridle. To safely connect each of your ropes/strops to a single point, you need to use a Prodigy 3 Toe Aerial Rigging Plate. You will use a carabiner at the top of the rigging plate to connect to a swivel, and then another carabiner to secure you to your anchor point.
You can also use a Prodigy Dyna-Core Triangle Hanging Rope to connect to your swivel.
Swivels we recommend using are the Prodigy Aerial Swivel - Small Round or the Prodigy Aerial Swivel - Large Round.
DO I NEED ANYTHING ELSE?
A safe rigging point to attach to is essential.
Aside from a rigging point, there are optional accessories and essential rigging gear. What you need for each type of Aerial Hoop varies. If you have any questions, we are happy to help.
We recommend the following as essential accessories:
Prodigy Snake Tape - High Quality Aerial Hoop Tape (14m / 15yd)
Firetoys Getta Grip - Rosin Grip for Aerial
And for beginners, the Introduction to Aerial Hoop book.

IMPORTANT NOTE…
Everything above assumes you have a suitable and safe rigging point, like a professionally installed rigging point or a reputable and rated freestanding rig. Not every home/studio will be the same, so we cannot advise on this part. If you haven’t established a safe rigging point, please do this first with the help of a structural engineer/experienced rigger/professional familiar with what you're hanging and where you're hanging it.
