Gearing is taken care of by a Shimano Tourney 18 speed system, indexed using thumb shifters as opposed to more juvenile twist-grip shifters. Dual 160mm mechanical disc brakes provide confident slowing, but also improve bike control when it comes to more challenging encounters.
