FORCLAZ products undergo rigorous tests at our design centre at the foot of Mont-Blanc, before being tested in the field in real conditions.
Odour control lab tests
Made from 63% Merino wool, the fabric limits perspiration odours and has been laboratory tested according to ISO 17299-3. This means you can wear your thermal jacket for longer, and carry less clothing on multi-day treks.
Thermal lab tests
Our thermal jackets are tested to ensure optimum comfort when trekking. Our tests allow us to determine the comfort temperature, the ideal temperature when you are in a static position or in the evening when bivouacking. The comfort temperature for this jacket is 10°C when worn as a 2nd layer.
Field tests in the mountains
During the summer of 2020, several people independent of Decathlon (partners, ambassadors and customers) tested this product. Rémi, for example, used this thermal jacket as his only protection against the cold during his Grande Traversée des Alpes along the GR5 trail. He was completely satisfied with it!
