Eco design

Using recycled polyester prevents the use of petroleum-based resources while maintaining the same features. CO2 emissions are lowered by around 10% by replacing a new component with a recycled one.

What is dope dyeing?

In this mass dyeing process, the thread itself is dyed, rather than the fabric, which reduces the amount of water used to make the product. This process considerably reduces the environmental impact of the RC100 long-sleeved jersey.

Environmental labelling

At Decathlon, we have chosen to use the icon from the Ministry for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition (Ministry of the Environment) representing a score from A to E. This scoring system is already well-known by the public, since it is used for household appliances and in the automobile industry. The lower its resistance, the more it lets water vapour produced by the body escape, therefore the more breathable it is. • RET <6: extremely breathable, suitable for the most intense workouts
• RET 6 to 12: very breathable, designed for moderate exercise
• RET 12 to 20: average breathability, not comfortable for intense exercise
• RET >20: little breathability, unsuitable for exercise
