- COMPONENT WATERPROOFING OF THIS JACKETThe waterproofness of a fabric, provided by a coating or membrane, is measured in Schmerbers or mm H2O (pressure exerted by a column of water). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric.
- Resistance to wearWe test our fabrics in the laboratory on various criteria, including abrasion resistance to reproduce the friction of backpack straps. We conduct a standardised Martindale test, which rubs the jacket’s fabric against another fabric. The aim is to measure the point at which the product starts to become worn & the pilling begins. The jacket passes the test easily as it reaches 20,000 cycles on the Martindale, above the average for other jackets on the market
