When predators are not very active and laid up in snag-filled areas (weed beds, obstacles, etc.) you can try sinking your lure down to these areas and working it with a sink and draw motion. Hits generally occur on the way back down, just before the lure drops back into the obstacles.
You can also work the lure this way in mid water.
