Detailed description

Moulded polyethylene plates cover the back of the hand, the back of the two lower knuckles of the thumb and fingers, and the base of the back of the thumb, lined with flexible 2 mm foam. The foam also covers the base of the back of the thumb and the spaces between the plates. Complies with the EU regulation 2016/425 on Personal Protection Equipment. Wide opening on the palm (except base of the thumb) for better grip on the stick.

Easier dressing thanks to the horizontal fabric at the base of the fingers. Closes around the wrist with a comfortable mesh strap with hook and loop.

The table below serves as a good reference: If the circumference of your hand is between: - exactly 17.8 cm -> XS - 17.8 cm and 20.3 cm -> S - 20.3 cm and 22.9 cm -> M - exactly 22.9 cm -> L

Safety tips

Hockey should be fun. Don't neglect your safety. Always wear your mouth guard, shin guards and a glove. Use hockey shoes with protective reinforcement and soles designed for your playing surface. Wear a mask and specially designed gloves. During matches and training.

Protecting your hand

A hockey glove is a piece of personal protection equipment. It should meet current regulations, including the PPE regulation (EU) 2016/425. Wear a field hockey glove to protect your hand from impacts from the ball or sticks. A field hockey glove has a moulded plastic plate on the back of the hand as well as over one or two fingers, and is generally lined with foam to absorb impacts.

Protecting your hand(cont.)

The protection over the thumb may only be in foam. The open palm lets you get a better feel on the grip while the inner fingers are usually covered with a tacky fabric. Replace your glove according to the manufacturer's indications or as soon as it begins to show signs of wear. Refer to the product user guide in case of questions.

Left only

The left hand is the priority for protection because it is the most exposed. You can also get gloves for the right hand.

This glove was co-designed by our product development team made up of passionate hockey players (product managers, designers, engineers, garment designers, stylists, prototype and lab technicians, Jill Boon, Berta Bonastre, Thomas Briels and Victor Charlet), players in our partner clubs or from our community, and specialists in R&D and the Decathlon industrial process for protective gear.
