Design details

Taking care of the leather

We built the entire upper in 1.8/2 mm full-grain leather to not only ensure high robustness throughout your activities, but also so that you can keep them for years to come! No more cracking leather. If you regularly grease your shoes and dry them upright away from the radiator or fireplace, you will enjoy them for many years. 1/ Remove dust from the shoes with a brush. With water and soap if necessary. 2/ Apply the Nikwax leather cream

European Production

This shoe was designed in France, developed by the production team in Italy, then manufactured in Romania by a supply partner. A majority of the materials also come from Europe.

Waterproof properties

Outings are much more pleasant when your feet stay dry throughout! But this is the #1 problem when shoes get taken off the beaten path. So our design team worked hard on this very issue. Here we've integrated a breathable, waterproof membrane underneath the upper, one that keeps water from getting in (rain, dew, etc.) while letting perspiration out. And we tested it in the lab, with 50,000 flexes in water - equivalent to approximately 20 km or 8 hours of walking - without water infiltration.

Warmth

To ensure your comfort in all weather conditions, and especially when it's cold, our design team has used the best insulating components on the market: Thinsulate by 3M. By placing 800 grams of insulation underneath the waterproof membrane, your feet stay warm even in temperatures below -10/-15°C. Be sure to cover your head and neck, as 40% of the body's heat escapes from them. Keeping your feet warm starts at the top.

Grip, Support

You need a good sole to go anywhere, on rough terrain. Our engineering team turned to the advanced specialists at VIBRAM. Excellent grip on dry and wet ground, as well as on snow and ice. Beware of wet rocks, all equipment has its limits. With an 8 inch (20.3cm) upper, your ankles are well supported but not restricted and snow will not easily get into the shoe.
