- Wind resistanceWe test all our living rooms in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side of the living room to the wind. A properly pitched living room with all guy ropes fitted should remain habitable in wind speeds up to 50 km/h near the ground.
- WaterproofingWe test our living rooms to validate their waterproofing. The first test is done in the laboratory, 3 hours under 200 litres of water per hour per sqm, equivalent to 200 mm tropical rain per hour. The second test is done in the field under real-life conditions by our teams. This living area is fitted with a polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet measuring 2,000 mm. It also has seams that have been waterproofed with heat-sealed strips.
- RepairAs designers and practitioners who love our playground, we care about the durability of our products. That's why all our tents and living rooms are designed to be repairable. Spare parts and repairs for inflatable hoops are available at the workshop of your Decathlon store or on our website.
- Poles and tent pegsPoles - All our poles are made from fibreglass and undergo double quality checks. This guarantees some of the best resistance against breakage. Tent pegs - All our pegs are made of steel and have a diameter of 6 mm.
- Maintenance adviceOur camping living rooms have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) when camping or in the great outdoors. Continued exposure to UV rays over several weeks can damage the fabric. These products are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. To guarantee maximum durability for your camping living room, it's important to store it when not in use.
