It's comfier, with better ball feel and better breathability inside your boot, plus it lasts longer. The forefoot of the Viralto III boots - the part most in contact with the ball - is made using this technology to give you great ball feel.
What eco-friendly design means at decathlon!
To determine a theoretical life span for our products, we go through a rigorous procedure of lab tests and long lasting trials on the pitch to compare products of the same type, used for the same purpose. By identifying any weak points, we can improve the product design in order to prolong its theoretical life span.
This approach enabled us to increase the life span by 35% compared with the average life span of a family of products.
FLEX-H AND DUAL HARDNESS TECHNOLOGIES: WHAT ARE THEY?
In order to provide you with optimum flexibility for sudden changes of direction and push-offs, mad dashes and between-the-lines passes, we use the following two technologies: The first, Flex-H, on the front of the outsole, allows the sole to bend following the shape of a horizontal "H". The second, Dual Hardness, combines TPU with different hardness properties, providing more flexibility or support depending on the targeted zone.
"SAFE CARE": FOOTBALL BOOTS THAT PUT YOUR FEET FIRST: DO THEY EVEN EXIST?
We designed these football boots together with a podiatrist specializing in sports and professional football. Together, we designed and validated the various technologies and concepts used in these football boots.
For example, when creating the outsole, the number of studs, their rounded shape, and their positions on the boot, were specifically researched and designed to ensure the best balance of grip and comfort.
WHAT IS THE "OPTIMAL STRIKE ZONE"?
We enlarged the main surface area that makes contact with the ball by placing the laces in an asymmetric line. The axis along which the laces are placed was shifted to the outside by 10 degrees to provide you with a larger sweet spot for controlling, passing and striking the ball. There's nothing to hold you back from showing off your best moves! say goodbye to missed dribbles, sloppy passes and off-target strikes. Your coach and team members will be delighted!

3D Air Mesh upper on the forefoot, foam and imitation suede padding on the heel, pre-shaped insole with Poron® pads and an anti-chafing coating. Plus a latest-generation, very stretchy, knitted collar offering great, snug support during use.

We created no fewer than 4 new models of this football boot, all focused on comfort and flexibility. Two models are in leather, and two made of synthetic materials. Each model has its own set of advantages depending on your expectations, requirements, and budget. These models are available with an FG, MG, SG or Turf (TF) outsole. So no more excuses on the pitch for not controlling the ball and squashing the opposition!

TURF (TF), MOULDED (FG), SCREW-IN (SG); A LOOK AT THE DIFFERENT FOOTBALL BOOT SOLES
The VIRALTO III are available in 4 sole variants: TF, FG, MG, SG. These refer to the type of pitch you play on: - TF (Turf or stabilized): rubber sole for hard synthetic or slate pitches. - FG (Firm Ground): the famous "moulded" TPU studs made for natural or synthetic grass- MG (Multi-Ground): hollow studs designed for use on hybrid pitches.
- SG (Soft Ground), for soft or muddy pitches with a hybrid sole that has 6 screw-in studs.
