The European standard EN 12546-2 indicated the performance of the ice pack without the cold accumulator. To reach this standard, tests are carried out by an external laboratory. These tests consist of putting 5°C water in the ice pack, itself placed in a 32°C. The aim is to measure the time it takes for the water to heat up to a temperature of 15°C. For this ice pack, the time recorded was 2 hours 20 minutes.
