- Behaviour when in the sunWhile this beach parasol provides protection from direct sunlight, other factors such as reflections from water or sand, heat, and time of day should also be considered. The use of this shelter does not exempt the user from following the relevant advice: wear sunglasses, a hat or cap, a UV-protective top (see our range of UV-protection clothing), regularly apply suitable sun cream, stay hydrated, etc.
- Resistance to windThe Paruv 160 parasol is resistant to wind speeds up to 20 km/h when the base is buried in the sand to a depth of 25 cm. The addition of an orange spiral base (purchased separately) can increase the wind resistance by a further 10 km/h. When the side walls are assembled and the pockets filled with sand, the parasol is securely held in place (with the base buried in the sand and the pole tilted) and can withstand winds of up to 20 km/h in this inclined position, with its back to the wind.
- Tilting umbrella with Tilt accessory sold separately.All the anti-UV parasols can be inclined at 35° and 50° with the "Tilt incline paruv". This is sold separately and exclusively through Decathlon.
