- Fresh Black technology for greater freshness and darkness in your tentCooler and darker for better sleep! Fresh & Black is a technology patented by Decathlon that allows us to reflect the sun's rays and insulate from the light thanks to specific materials. This reduces the sensation of heat in the tent and makes it darker.
- Sun protectionOur Fresh&Black technology relies on a UPF 50+ sun protection fabric. Caution: be careful, as a large amount of UV rays can get in through a simple open door.
- VentilationThe ventilated flysheet on the living area airs the room and reduces condensation inside your tent. High ventilation hatches are placed at the front and rear of the tent. There is a mosquito net at the back of the bedroom.
- Wind resistanceWe test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The aim is to expose each side of our tent to the same wind intensity. Properly pitched, with the guy ropes deployed, this tent remains habitable in wind speed 6, measured at 50 km/h.
- WaterproofingWe test our tents to validate their waterproofing. The first test is done in the laboratory, 3 hours under 200 litres of water per hour per sqm, equivalent to 200 mm tropical rain per hour. The second test is done in the field under real-life conditions by our teams. This tent is fitted with a polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet measuring 2,000 mm. It also has seams that have been waterproofed with heat-sealed strips, and a 140 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet.
- RepairAs designers and practitioners who love our playground, we care about the durability of our products. That's why all our tents are designed to be repairable. Spare parts and pole repairs are available at the workshop of your Decathlon store or on our website.
- Poles and tent pegsPoles - All our poles are made from fibreglass and undergo double quality checks. This guarantees some of the best resistance against breakage. Tent pegs - All our pegs are made of steel and have a diameter of 6 mm.
- Maintenance adviceOur camping tents have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) when camping or in the great outdoors. Continued exposure to UV rays over several weeks can damage the fabric. These products are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. To guarantee maximum durability of your tent, it's important to store it when not in use.

Ecodesign approach

Using this mass-dyeing process enables us to reduce CO2 emissions linked to the production of dyed textiles by at least 17% compared to conventional dyeing.

Repairability is the ability to offer a solution in the event of product breakage or failure. The repairability of a product is defined according to 4 criteria: - The availability of instructions on how to repair the product for customers - The possibility of disassembling the product - The availability of spare parts - The price of the repair is lower than purchasing a new product Our goal is to cover any possible known break or repair a product might have. We think about the life span of a product from the design stage, to ensure that it lasts as long as possible.

Using this finishing process enables us to reduce CO2 emissions linked to the production of undyed textiles by at least 53% compared to conventional dyeing.
