WHAT CRITERIA MUST A CAP MEET IN ORDER TO QUALIFY AS "ANTI-UV"?

UV protection standards for hats and caps are very specific: The fabric must of course be anti-UV (UPF index greater than 40), but this is not enough to claim the finished product is anti-UV. The headwear also needs to protect the back of the neck and there must be no visible openwork fabric through which the sun's rays can penetrate. This Trek 900 cap meets this standard so you can go hiking with complete peace of mind: you are perfectly protected!
