Airbag backpack
One of the lightest airbag backpacks with a 30 litre usable volume. The airbag backpack developed in partnership with Alpride offers you extra safety when freeride skiing. The 150 L balloon inflates in 3 seconds (cartridge not included). This protection is not intended to make you take more risk; prevention, information and training are the main elements of your mountain safety.
Adjusting my airbag backpack
Before first use and before every off-piste ski excursion, take care to properly adjust: - the activation handle height and side - the straps - chest strap - stomach strap - placement of the crotch strap Adjusting these 5 elements is essential to properly support the bag and your safety. Why not have a practice at home (making sure you disassemble the cartridges)? The back adjustment will provide you with more comfort.
Shovel and probe pocket
We have added one special pocket where you can keep your shovel and probe. Pocket with quick opening system to access this safety equipment in an emergency on the mountains. The pocket and the shovel, together with the D.V.A, make up the essential tools you must have and know how to use for all your off-piste skiing.
Carries skis/snowboard/ice axe
You can carry a snowboard on the front of the bag or a pair of adult skis sideways. Possibility to carry 2 ice axes or a pair of sticks. This portage allows you to find routes requiring an approach on foot or with crampons.
Instructions for carrying skis
To carry skis on the side, place the tail of the skis in the lower strap, that adjusts automatically to the width of the skis. Attach your skis using the adjustable side strap. If you wish, you can join your two skis with a ski strap to make for more stable carrying.
Instructions for carrying a snowboard
Place the tip of the snowboard on the lower strap at the bottom of your rucksack, undo both side straps and attach them together to finish fixing your snowboard.
Helmet holder
A net is designed to carry your helmet on the top of your bag.
Straps
Adjustable straps, comfortable, preformed and padded to provide maximum comfort and stability on the shoulders. A height-adjustable chest strap, with rescue whistle, to hold your bag firmly in place on your back. A waist strap with neoprene side straps provide the comfort and support required to stop unwanted bag movement when skiing. A crotch strap.
Carry handle
Handle for ergonomic grip, easy transport and storage.
Pockets
A main pocket with large volume. Access from the top of the bag, ideal for packing your bag. A pocket specially for mountain safety equipment (shovel, probe), easy to access thanks to the quick-release zip. A felt lined goggle pocket. A mesh pocket on the goggle compartment. A small pocket on the waist strap.
RECCO® system
This bag has a RECCO® reflector. With RECCO® technology, you can be located in the event of an avalanche. Equipped with RECCO® reflectors, a buried person can be located quickly and precisely by the emergency services using the RECCO® detector. RECCO® reflectors are not a substitute for an AVD. The RECCO® technology works as a complementary measure, increasing the chances of being found in time.
Supplied without a cartridge
The bag comes without a cartridge. The CO2 Argon cartridges from Alpride are available as a necessary complement to this bag (8765219).
