Aero road cycling helmet MIPS, RCR-F Van Rysel Roubaix
At the highest level, at high speeds, aerodynamics make all the difference. This is one of the fastest helmets in the professional peloton. Approved in a wind tunnel by the most demanding racers
ID 8936552
- 2-year warranty
- 365 days to return for members
- aerodynamicsDeveloped and tested in a wind tunnel to minimise its drag coefficient
- ventilation5 air entrances with 3 deep inner channels
- anatomic designTurn-ring system for a micrometric adjustment. Occipital adjustment
- lightweightIn-mould technology results in a lightweight helmet
- FCRThe RCR-F range, which stands for Fast Racer, is the product range that focuses on aerodynamics. It's designed for cyclists for whom every second counts. These products refuse to compromise on performance. The RCR-F helmet has been designed to work perfectly with the VR (Road 900) glasses, whose arms will clip neatly onto the helmet.
- THE HELMET OF THE PROSThis RCR-F helmet has been chosen by the DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE professional team for flat or rolling stages.
- MIPSThe MIPS system consists of a layer with a low coefficient of friction, which allows for multidirectional movement of 10 to 15 mm during certain angled impacts. This movement is designed to reduce the rotational force transmitted to the head. The RCR-F MIPS is equipped with the MIPS air system, which is the lightest, most ventilated version of MIPS. - SECURITYBecause choosing a helmet is above all for safety reasons, this helmet meets all the most demanding impact standards. It complies with the European regulation EN1078. This standard covers the following aspects: construction, including field of vision, shock absorption properties, retention system features including the chinstrap and tightening devices, and marking and information.
- Sizes & WeightRCR-F size S: 52-55 cm 260 g size M: 55-59 cm 300 g size L: 59-62 cm 350 g Please note that this helmet features the MIPS system. This system slightly modifies the size grid, so if you are at the upper end of the size range, we recommend choosing one size up.
- VentilationA helmet's ventilation is optimal when large entrances for air are connected to exits via canals that let the air circulate. The head is an essential component for cooling the body during intensive effort. The evacuation of the heat generated is thus a priority for maintaining a high level of performance.
- VENTILATION AND AERODYNAMICSPoorly placed ventilation can, on the other hand, generate a great loss of aerodynamic performance by significantly increasing drag. The RCR-F air vents have been placed in high pressure zones that do not affect the helmet's aerodynamics. The 3 inner channels are wide and deep to ensure optimal air flow.
- RETURN CONDITIONS (SPECIFIC TO PPE)This helmet is personal protective equipment (PPE), so its protection will depend on the condition of your helmet. We can only accept helmets returned in new condition. If your helmet doesn't suit you, please return it with the user guide and tags.
- HOW LONG HELMETS LASTHelmets don't last forever. To ensure maximum safety, we recommend replacing your helmet at least every 5 to 7 years. It is important to store it in its case, in a dry, cool place away from sunlight. Extreme temperatures will deteriorate the helmet's foam more quickly. If your helmet suffers a large impact, it's essential that you change it as there could be internal cracks that would prevent it from working properly.
