- Fit and sizing informationGood coverage for hikers between 157 and 173cm in height (size S/M) or 174 and 190cm (size L/XL) and carrying a 60L maximum backpack. Hood can be tightened thanks to elasticated drawcord and stopper toggle. The ends of the sleeves are cuffed with an elastic binding that prevents water from entering your sleeves. This rain cape is easy to get on and off thanks to its long front zip which slips easily over the head.
- Additional recommended productsTo complete your outfit, we recommend overtrousers or waterproof gaiters to fully protect your lower legs. For greater breathability, the waterproof hat can also be attached to the poncho!
- Component waterproofingWe measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure, expressed in terms of the height of a water column in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Components scoring 2,000mm can resist the pressure from 2,000mm of water (which is equivalent to a rain shower lasting two hours).
- Waterproofing of the garmentThis garment has been validated in a shower test under 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
- Breathability of the ponchoOur rain poncho and cape ranges do not come with a waterproof/breathable membrane. Therefore, we recommend calm, gentle use to reduce perspiration rather than fast hiking!
- Component water resistanceThe water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight, warm and breathable. The water-repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment needs to be renewed throughout the lifetime of the garment (every 3 washes). All Quechua ponchos and capes have a water-repellent treatment.
- CareWe recommend you use a re-waterproofing product (spray or liquid) To renew the fabric's water repellent-properties and optimise the garment's performance throughout its lifetime.

Ecodesign approach

Using this mass-dyeing process enables us to reduce CO2 emissions linked to the production of dyed textiles by at least 17% compared to conventional dyeing.

Using recycled polyester rather than conventional polyester reduces the CO2 emissions linked to the material by at least 17%.
