Technical information

TIPS FOR USE/SETTING UP

We advise you to take out and unroll your Sleeping Bag as soon as you set up camp. Open the zip that keeps the product folded in 2 in order to lay it flat, then leave the ‘IN’ valve open for around 10 minutes to make pre-inflation easier. The rest of the inflation has to be done by mouth. To check whether the inflation is correct, you should feel the ground slightly when sitting on it. Once the mattress is inflated, it will be easy for you to zip your quilt.

TIPS FOR USE/FOLDING

Open the ‘OUT’ valve of your Sleepin Bed then open the zips on either side of the quilt to the bottom. Fold the product in 2 with the quilt on the inside, now fasten the mattress zips together.
Starting from your head, roll towards your feet always maintaining pressure on the mattress to expel the air. Tip: you can use your knees to press the mattress as you go along to get all the air out.

USE TEMPERATURE

All our sleeping bags display the temperature ratings, tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX), in accordance with European NF ISO 23537 standard (2017).
The comfort temperature is the lower limit at which the user, in a relaxed pose, is in overall thermal equilibrium and feels neither too cold nor too hot (for a standard woman in normal conditions of use). Choose your sleeping bag according to this measure.

WHAT ARE THE "LIMIT" TEMPERATURES FOR USE?

Limit temperature rating: temperature limit at which the user huddled up in the sleeping bag is generally in thermal equilibrium and feels neither to cold nor too hot (defined for a standard man under normal conditions of use).

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT TEMPERATURE

A sleeping bag does not produce heat but retains the heat produced by the body. If you are tired and cold and you slip inside a cold, damp sleeping bag, it is very likely that you will feel cold no matter how good your sleeping bag is! A few tips: dress simply (1 layer of clothing is enough). Keep your head, hands and feet warm: hats, gloves, socks, heaters, friction. Use a sleeping bag liner, ideally made of silk, to maximize the heat inside your sleeping bag.

Why is my product grey on the inside?

Bi-ton is a technology that only dyes one thread out of every two. Dyeing has a significant environmental impact related to water (consumption & pollution). We only dye one thread out of two to reduce the environmental impact.

TESTS

Our design team conceives, designs and creates all of our Quechua products at the foot of Mont Blanc, in France.
We test them in the field with other campers, to check their comfort and durability. From Brittany to Corsica, we go to as many places as possible, in all weather conditions. These experiences are highly beneficial for us, allowing us to hear your feedback and start thinking about our future products!
