TECHNICAL INFORMATION

10-year warranty

Our Quechua hiking backpacks are guaranteed for 10 years. Our commitment? To offer you long-lasting products that you can use on all your country walks. Because the products we like the most are those with a story behind them that is still continuing! The guarantee covers any backpack faults, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use.

How is volume measured?

The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.

How do I adjust my backpack?

1 - Loosen all the straps (straps, hip belt, load adjuster straps). 2 - Put the backpack on. 3 – Tighten the shoulder straps. 4 - Adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.

How do I pack my backpack?

Place your heavier items at the bottom. Pack your clothes around these items. Keep a rainproof jacket and fleece close at hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses, etc.) in the pockets. If you have a water bag, this should be placed in the pocket provided for this, which is along the back. Place your water bottle in the external pockets provided specifically for this.

Laboratory Testing

We carry out laboratory tests to validate all elements: fabric, buckles, straps, foam and zips. For example, for fabric: resistance to wear, tearing, colour-fastness under UV rays, washing, waterproofing. A final test on the finished product simulates the kind of treatment to which it will be subjected over several years, to assess the strength of the assembly: the backpack is weighted then placed on a dummy which then reproduces the movement of fast walking over thousands of cycles.

Your opinion matters!

Thanks to all your feedback we have improved the creation and design of the NH100 30 L backpack.
In this new model we have added a compartment in the large pocket as well as a zip pocket. We have also changed the opening to make accessing the contents of your backpack easier.

A score for comparing the products' environmental impact

The product's environmental impact is calculated over its whole life cycle using different indicators. A general score from A to E is provided in order to easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks).
Decathlon is committed to displaying the environmental data of its products.

OUR COMMITMENTS

Test Product It is in France, at the foot of the Mont Blanc, that our design team imagined, thought up and designed the Quechua products. We test them in the field with other hikers to make sure that they are comfortable and durable. Brittany, Corsica... We headed out onto as many different terrains as possible, in all weather conditions. These experiences were highly beneficial for us, allowing us to hear your feedback and start thinking about our future collections!
