TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Outsole with grip

The grip of our soles is certified. To be awarded this certification, the shoes must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip rate on different surfaces (Smooth, Rugged, Dry, Wet). To validate these tests, we assess the quality of our soles in the field, the mountains, by a panel of representative testers over 500 km

EVOFIT technology

This shoe is fitted with the EVOFIT concept. With its stretch materials and specific design for the area of the foot where the joints are located, EVOFIT technology allows the shoe to perfectly fit the shape of your foot.

WHICH SIZE SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?

It is essential to try several sizes and models of shoe to find the one most suitable for you!
You can go one size above your usual shoe size to stop your toes hitting the end when going downhill, as long as the foot is well supported to avoid friction.
Advice: keep your toenails short and, before a long descent, check that your lacing is tight to prevent your foot from sliding forwards inside the shoe.

Buying advice/How to try on your footwear?

Some Decathlon stores have a test route.
1. Try both shoes on, standing up, wearing the socks you use for hiking.
2. Tie the laces taking care that it is tied evenly on both sides.
3. Check two points:
- that your heel does not rise before the shoe when you are going uphill.
- that your foot does not slide and your toes do not hit the end when going downhill.
4. Try on several sizes and several models.
Use them gradually so they shape to your feet.

Optimise your shoes capabilities: replace your insoles!

The insole originally in your shoes is designed to suit as many feet as possible. Changing insole may provide:
1. Better support: some soles are preformed or strengthened to maintain the arch of the foot more.
2. Greater comfort: soles can also provide warmth and/or cushioning.
3. Greater lifespan: get the support and comfort of your shoes back by replacing the insole each season.

LABORATORY TESTS

Further laboratory tests are also conducted to validate the following: tearing of eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of sole and upper components, accelerated ageing.

How to care for your shoes?

- Air dry.
- Remove the dry mud with a quite tough brush.
- For stains clean with a brush and some lukewarm water
- Leave to dry
- Spray a waterproofing spray to get back water-repellent property on the upper.
