"Have danced from a very young age but was always told by teachers that due to my size I could never pursue a career in dance. Despite all adversity I attended a performing arts school and spent years choreographing for my own street dance crew.

I fell pregnant at a young age, gained a lot of weight and lost not only my confidence but I lost myself. It took me 6 years to venture back into the dance scene, I started with classes like Salsa and Zumba and then eventually I became a BOOSTfit Instructor.

Often I get odd looks and negativity when I say that I am a fitness instructor as if because of my size I couldn't possibly be worthy to instruct others in a fitness capacity. I am here to break down those negative stereotypes. My size does not determine my health nor does it define me as a person. Every body is different and I think it is important as an instructor to know how to read your clients and tailor your workout to all of their needs. "

Learn to love yourself first and foremost. You don't need to apologise for being unique, you're allowed to take up as much space as you like and you are capable of achieving in this life whatever your heart desires.

"Sport is an integral part of my life, I love to train in the gym, dance, run, hike, go for long walks, stay active. My mission is to share and inspire this love for physical activity, to empower all women I meet, to ensure that they feel happy, strong and supported during their fitness journey.

The biggest achievement for me is to make YOU feel GOOD about YOURSELF!

Embrace and love your body, be kind to yourself, accept all the good bits and your flaws too, because that’s what makes you authentic, that what’s making you...YOU! "

When spotting a negative thought, consciously try to swap it for positive, focus on your strengths, as you have many reasons to be proud of yourself!

"I've learnt so much working in the fitness industry for the last 8 years through teaching classes, coaching, bodybuilding competitions, creating fitness concepts and managing the group exercise programme for one of London’s leading health and fitness clubs.

Fitness has been an important part of my lifestyle and being surrounded by people with the same positive ethos has always kept me motivated, it’s such a great community to be a part of.

Being a trainer has been so rewarding and it’s amazing to see so many positive transformations in people’s health, fitness and overall well being. "Sport was in my blood from a young age, growing up a competitive gymnast, but that’s not to say that I didn’t have my own body hang ups through my teenage years.. Mine being the opposite to most was that I hated being so muscular in a then skinny obsessed tabloid world

Now looking back I laugh at my younger thoughts and how ridiculous I think they were.

Today I’m just so thankful for a healthy strong body that lets me move and meets my many sporting demands. "

"I am a multi award winning sports coach and I chose to become ‘body confidence advocate’ after handing back my Miss GB crown when competition organisers branded me ‘fat’.I turned a negative experience into a positive one and endeavour to add a sprinkle of joy in people's lives.

Helping people from all walks of life stay healthy and active is what motivates me to do what I do. I am also a freelance specialist coach and teach groups from beginners to Elite level.

It’s time we challenged perceptions of the ‘perfect’ body. We are constantly pushed into believing ‘one’ body type as being elite. This is not the case. Variety is the spice of life. Despite what society says there is a difference between being ‘healthy’ and ‘fit’.

Instead of self sabotage, let’s celebrate how our bodies can carry us through the day, how even when we are having a tough time, our bodies carry on. "

We shouldn’t feel ashamed that we have bits that jiggle or that we cannot fit into a certain style of clothes. I can’t think of a better representation of beauty than when a person is completely unapologetic and totally unafraid to be who they are.

" After years of training for all the wrong reasons, I finally do it because it makes me feel ALIVE! I don’t follow a plan and my workouts are never the same, but the only thing that never changes is that feeling of happiness and fulfillment after each workout. There are thousands of ways to move our bodies, the goal is to always do the one that bring the smiles :)

With my community I seek to show that exercise is way more than a tool to change the way we look, it is a way to express ourselves, connect with our bodies and to appreciate all the incredible things that our bodies allow us to do."

There is nothing more beautiful than a woman being unapologetically herself, feeling comfortable in her own skin. We are always going to be “too something” for someone. Either too big, too fat, too skinny, too tall, too small, etc. So instead of trying to “fit in” choose to be too AUTHENTIC!
