Our teams have developed this Softshell ski jacket for the young competitor. It will bring them comfort and warmth during intensive training sessions. The lining, membrane and waterproof zip on this jacket will keep you warm and dry. Its elasticity enables a slim fit that gives the young competitor optimal freedom of movement.

Technical Information

What is the fit of the jacket?

Slim fit. The interior volume means you can wear this jacket along with back protection and a ski suit with protections on the arms.

What is a membrane and what's it for?

The membrane is a very fine component applied to the inner surface of the outer fabric. This hydrophilic component prevents water from seeping in while wicking away the perspiration produced by the body. The membrane is unbeatable when it comes to staying warm and dry.

How is the waterproofness of the jacket measured?

We measure a fabric's resistance to a column of water expressed in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. For example, a component with a waterproof rating of 2,000mm is therefore resistant to the pressure exerted by a 2,000 mm column of water (roughly equivalent to a 2-hour downpour).

Which of the jacket's features offer protection from bad weather?

This jacket has been developed using a robust component and rigorous assembly process that limit wind chill and stop water seeping in.

What is the purpose of water repellency?

A fabric is water-repellent when it allows water to slide over its surface without it seeping in. This jacket features water-repellent components that extend its weather resistance. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface. However, this property may deteriorate with use.

How to restore water-repellency?

Remember that water repellency can be restored. To do this, put the jacket in the dryer on a synthetics programme for 10 to 15 minutes.
You can also use a waterproof spray (sold in our stores).
