Technical Information

UV Protection

Because UV rays are harmful to eyes, all our goggles are certified 100% ANTI UV by the EN 174 standard. Goggles are the best protection solution as they perfectly enclose the eyes preventing any direct or reflected UV light from entering

S1 means a light lens that enables you to see better in bad weather, fog or in the snow. For this product, we have selected a lens with a yellow tint to improve visibility of relief in bad weather, although it will remain low in those weather conditions. You must remain careful and not place yourself in danger in unknown and hazardous areas.

Optimal Anti-fogging

The "OPTIMAL" anti-fogging system is a double lens with a treatment on the inside combined with a ventilation system on the frame that enables air to circulate inside the ski goggles.
For good ventilation inside your goggles, do not obstruct these air vents (with a neck warmer for example).
Do not rub inner surface of lens but dab it carefully in order to preserve the anti-fogging treatment for as long as possible.

Ventilated double lens

Goggles design with a double lens to reduce fogging. Indeed, the air that is trapped between the two lenses creates a layer of thermal insulation. Thanks to this, the thermal shock between the inside and the outside of the goggles is lower and fogging slows down on the goggle lens .The inner lens also has an anti-fogging treatment and is ventilated with air vents that provide a good air flow.

Spherical lens

The spherical shape causes the least amount of optical distortion.
The outer lens is made of highly impact-resistant polycarbonate, the inner lens is made of propionate cellulose

Ski helmet compatibility

All Wedze ski goggles are designed to fit perfectly with Wedze ski helmets.

Compatibility with prescription glasses

The G 540 S1 ski goggles, in size L, allow the use of max. 145 mm wide corrective glasses. The foam on the sides and the shape of the goggle skirt leaves a passage for each temple.

40 mm-wide Polyamide, Polyester and rubber elastic, non-slip silicone strap

Microfibre case

Remember to protect the goggles – the lens in particular – from scratches before and after use by using the Wed'ze microfibre case. This case also cleans lenses and the material is perfect for looking after them without causing scratches.

Flash coloured lens

A coloured coating on the outside of the lens of the ski goggles (called coloured flash) reduces the % of light transmitted to the eye, meaning less glare and greater visual clarity in bright conditions

EN 174 Standard

The EN 174 standard is a European standard applicable to goggles used for eye protection when downhill skiing or similar activities such as snowboarding.

To avoid fogging

Moisture causes fogging. You must therefore make sure that the foam does not get damp, e.g. by placing the goggles on a wet helmet or a hat. Falling face down in the snow can also cause your goggles to fog up. This is therefore why you must correctly dry your ski goggles overnight to get rid of all traces of humidity and use perfectly dry goggles the following day.
