i-Vortex Turbo Trainer - T2170

Designed for The TACX i-Vortex T2170 Cycling Turbo Trainer is perfect of regular home training sessions. Add more fun to your ride by competing with 10 opponents in a 3D VR world.

You can train with your PC (check system requirements) and track your progress thanks to the handlebar mounted display which allows you to adjust the gradient (up to 7%), wattage or HR programmes during the training session. TTS 4 training software, ANT+ antenna and front wheel block included. This Tacx model comes with a 3kg flywheel, 950W max resistance and electro brake.

Connectivity

The i-Vortex can connect to:
- a PC with an ANT+ antenna, running Tacx Trainer 4 software (included in the pack).
- a smartphone (iOS or Android) running the Tacx Training app or other apps (Zwift, Trainerroad, Kinomap, etc.) over Bluetooth Smart (4.0)
- a smartphone (iOS or Android) running the Tacx Training app or other apps (Zwift, Trainerroad, Kinomap, etc.) over Bluetooth Smart (4.0) or ANT+
- a cyclometer/GPS via Bluetooth Smart (4.0) or ANT+ (Garmin Edge 520, Mio 505, etc)

Tyre tips

Whether you do road or mountain bike training on the home trainer, we highly recommend using a tyre specially designed for use on home trainers.
It has the advantage of lasting longer thanks to its reinforced structure and harder rubber which reduces the noise of the wheels spinning.

Stability tips

When cycling on a home trainer, the rear wheel of your bike is stabilised and slightly raised.
For greater stability, you should also use a front wheel riser block.
Benefits:
1. Stabilises the front wheel.
2. Raises the front wheel so that the bike is perfectly level as you ride.

Protection tips

Protection:
When training indoors, perspiration often drips onto the bike or floor.
We recommend using the following equipment:
1- A sweat guard to stop perspiration (which is acidic) dripping onto your bike and damaging its frame. (item 8056757)

2. A home trainer mat to reduce noise and provide stability and added protection against perspiration. (item 8369937)
