Technical Information

UV Protection

Because UV rays are harmful to the eyes, all our goggles are 100% ANTI UV with the EN 174 standard. The goggles are the best means of protection, they perfectly cover the eyes, preventing UV entry through reverberation

Optimal anti-fogging

The "OPTIMAL" anti-fogging is a dual ventilated lens with a treatment on the internal surface and lots of air vents on the frame that create air flow inside the ski goggles.
To ensure the inside of the goggles are properly ventilated, you need to avoid blocking these air vents, for example with a neck warmer.
Do not rub the inner surface of the lens but carefully dab the surface to preserve anti-fogging treatment as long as possible.

Dual ventilated screen

A goggle design with a dual ventilated screen reduces condensation. Indeed, the air trapped between the 2 lenses provides thermal insulation. Thanks to this, the thermal shock between the inside and outside of the goggles is slighter and slows down fogging on the inside of the goggle lens. The inner lens also has an anti-fogging treatment and is also ventilated by ventilation holes to ensure good air circulation.

The spherical shape also provides the least distortion.
The outer lens is made from photochromatic polycarbonate, very resistant to impact whilst the inner lens is made from Acetate.

All the Wedze ski goggles are designed to be perfectly compatible with the Wedze ski helmets.

Compatibility with prescription glasses

The Ski SNOW G 520 PH goggles in size L allow for the use of corrective glasses with max width of 145 mm. The foam on the sides and the shape of the goggles skirt leave a passage for each arm.

40 mm-wide Polyamide, Polyester and rubber elastic, non-slip silicone strap

Microfibre and thermocompressed case

Remember to protect your goggles and especially the screen from scratches before and after use, with the Wedze microfibre case. This case also cleans the lenses and the material is perfect for maintaining them without causing any scratches.
The thermocompressed case is ideal to store your goggles and protect them from crushing in your bag when skiing.

Bright colourful lens

A coloured coating on the outer side of the ski goggles lens (called coloured Flash) reduces the percentage of light transmitted to the eye, which reduces glare and improves visual clarity in sunny conditions

EN 174 Standard

The EN 174 is a European standard for goggles used for eye protection when practising alpine skiing or similar activities such as snowboarding.

The photochromatic lens darkens mainly due to Ultra-Violet radiation. The shade will lighten or darken throughout the day on the slopes depending on UV rays.

Avoiding the formation of fogging

Humidity causes the formation of fog. It is therefore best to avoid saturating the foam, for example by placing ski goggles over damp helmets or hats. Falling face down in the snow can also cause your goggles to fog up. That's why you should dry your ski goggles all night to remove all traces of damp and go skiing with perfectly dry goggles the next day.

2 sizes

The goggles are selected based upon the head size Select size S for a size below 55 cm (or formerly S/M), from 56 cm, select L (or formerly L/XL)
